We love an update! This rooftop garden with little billabong was created by us a couple of years ago in Melbourne (first pic). It is now a flourishing, happy habitat filled with native plants. Some of the plants are Anigozanthos, Actinodium cunninghamii, Thysanotus multiflorus, Lechenaultia biloba, Verticordia, Dampieras and so much more. ... See MoreSee Less

Posted @withregram • @peopleparks Healthy sustainable ecosystems rely on environmental biodiversity. This week, during Biodiversity Month, we encourage you to Nurture Native Nature as part of your #NaturePact. As inspiration, we’re celebrating our partner project, ‘Chelsea Australian Garden’ at Olinda. We are supporting @phillip_johnson_landscapes to help deliver his award-winning vision of a stunning, diverse and highly engaging Australian native garden in the Dandenong Ranges Botanic Gardens on the outskirts of Melbourne. Inspired by his local surrounds, Phillip designed the Australian Garden, using exclusively Australian native flora, to win both Gold and Best in Show at the prestigious Royal Horticultural Society Chelsea Flower Show in 2013.This native garden will be recreated at twenty times the scale of the original exhibition garden and will provide an immersive showcase of Australian native plants sourced from all over the country. The Chelsea Australian Garden, Olinda will be a haven for rare and endangered Australian native plants, including:- Lagastrobus franklinii: Huon PineTasmania - Citrus inodora: Russell River Lime- Davidsonia jerseyana: Davidson’s Plum- Wollemia nobilis: Wollemi Pine- Eucalyptus gregsoniana: WolganSnow Gum- Nematolepis wilsonii: Shiny Nematolepi- Grevillea willisii: Omeo Grevillea- Rhododendron lochiae: Australian RhododendronThe Garden will connect visitors to the unique qualities of Australian native plants 🌿 and help us learn what stunning Australian natives we can grow and nurture at home.Take a closer look at Phil’s design by clicking the link in our bio and stay connected with us to see this incredible design come to life! ..... ... September and our partners @peopleparks are encouraging people to make a pact to intentionally spend time in nature. Anyone who knows my philosophy knows we encourage to connect in nature through our landscaping. Today I’ve been celebrating the pollinators who visit the garden, the bees, butterflies and birds are flying about visiting those flowering nectar filled trees and plants. It’s great to see nature at work. Make a #naturepact yourself, once a day spend intentional time and connect with nature. Use hashtag #naturepact and follow @peopleparks for more this September. #bees #eucalyptus #backtonature ... See MoreSee Less
