This landscape blends a traditional English ‘wild’ garden with Australian native plants. The design incorporates Casltemaine slate paving and a deck made from recycled Jarrah sleepers from the Western Australian rail lines. Construction of this property involved removing an above ground pool, replacing it with a billabong bordered by granite rocks. The billabong provides habitat to native wildlife including 4 different species of frogs.
The new landscape co-exists with the stunning 100 year-old oak tree. Wander across the granite stepping-stones over the billabong and choose to arrive at any one of the secluded sitting areas or sit under the 100-year-old Oak tree and admire nature at work.
